Instructor Bio:

Michael Corsentino is an award winning contemporary wedding and portrait photographer, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Lightroom expert, author, national speaker and workshop leader based in Northern California. Shooting digitally since 1999, he made his first exposure when he was 12 years old and hasn’t put his camera down since.

His 30 year love affair with the magic and science of photography is more passionate today than ever. Stylish, dramatic, edgy and modern images set Michael’s photography apart. His award winning blend of photojournalism, fashion and editorial styles have made him an in-demand portrait and destination wedding photographer.

Equally passionate about educating, Michael loves to share his lighting and posing secrets, post processing techniques, time saving workflow strategies and shooting philosophy with other photographers during his inspiring workshops and speaking engagements.

Sunday: 7-9pm

• Meet and greet • Portfolio Review

Monday: Off Camera Lighting & Posing:

8:30am to 12pm

• Speedlites, getting them off your camera • Strobes • Triggers, ettl and manual • Constant light

• Light modifiers • Reflectors, diffusers, and gobos • Gels & color temperature tricks

1:00pm to 5:00pm

• Shooting tethered • Metering principals • Foundation lighting concepts, source size and distance

• The 6 basic lighting patterns

7:00pm to 9:00pm

• Power posing • Model shoots - studio & environmental

Tuesday: Lightroom workflow top to bottom:

8:30am to 12pm

• The power of presets and export actions • Edit like a pro, techniques and gear

• Library Module secrets

1:00pm to 5:00pm

• Develop Module secrets • How to get your images online via social media & blogs using Lightroom • Time saving third party plug-ins and presets • Presenting your images using the Slideshow, Print & Web Modules

Wednesday: Photoshop Workflow, Automation and Style:

8:30am to 12pm

Using PS & LR together, CS5 Automation secrets, actions & droplets

1:00pm to 5:00pm

• Retouching intensive • Creating signature style images that boost your bottom line

Thursday: Show me the Money

• Return on Investemnt • Business 101 • Outsourcing for profit • The art of selling

• Web marketing (possible 1 hr. guest speaker - web marketing consultant Wendy Roe)

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Photoshop CS4-CS5, Lightroom 3, DSLR, Laptop,
Top 5-10 portfolio images submitted via email prior to the class or a on a jump drive at the beginning of the class.
